DESCRIPTION:Design Justice Network is an international community of people who are interested in and affected by design and its application.\nIt challenges the ways that design and designers can harm those who are marginalised through creating systems of power\, and tries to create a world that is safer\, more just and sustainable. The network is underpinned by nodes of practitioners and advocates who uphold the principles of design justice. \n \nBook your free ticket \n \nSince our formation as the Design Justice Node for the North of England in early 2022\, we’ve grown into a vibrant community of practitioners and advocates from the UK and internationally. \nSeptember Check-in & Introduction to the PrinciplesThis will be a space to: \n\nCheck in with each other and reconnect as a community\nLearn about Design Justice\nDiscuss the Design Justice Principles and how they connect with our work\n\nWhether you’re a regular participant or completely new to Design Justice Network\, this session is designed to be welcoming and accessible to all. We’ll be focusing on building connection and community rather than diving into heavy content. \nIf you’re totally new and are interested in joining us or finding out more\, please do come along – everyone is welcome!\nIf you want to find out more about the Design Justice Network or find a node local to you\, you can do so on the DJN website. \nImportant information:\nThis event will take place online via Whereby (no log-ins and no need to download an app).
